Nikos is a European Patent Attorney with over 10 years of in-house and private practice experience in helping clients protect their innovations in a wide range of sectors including software, electronics and semiconductors.

An avid technology enthusiast and a curious engineer, Nikos holds a BEng and an MSc in Electronics and Microelectronics. He was awarded a PhD degree in Microelectronics on his contribution to the development of measurement techniques for improving the reliability of next-generation System-on-Chip. Upon completion of his PhD, Nikos moved to Belgium to work as a Senior Researcher at IMEC, where he was a member of an interdisciplinary R&D team developing novel 3-Dimensional stacking techniques for Integrated Circuits (ICs). It was this work that sparked his interest in patents. Nikos is a named inventor in two US granted patents and an author of several peer-review articles and journals. 

Nikos started his career in Intellectual Property as a Patent Portfolio manager at IMEC, where he was responsible for managing an extensive patent portfolio covering a range of technologies. As a patent portfolio manager, he was also involved in establishing commercially driven IP strategies for the R&D units under his responsibility to ensure that IMEC maintained its unique service offering to industrial partners. He subsequently moved to private practice where he obtained his qualification as a European Patent Attorney. Prior to joining Hanna Moore +Curley, Nikos worked for top-tier firms in Ireland and Belgium.

At Hanna Moore +Curley, Nikos focuses on developing and managing patent portfolios for a range of clients, including start-ups, innovative SMEs, and multinational organisations. He further helps clients establishing IP strategies for the identification, protection and commercialisation of their IP assets.

Nikos is on the committee of the LES Britain and Ireland, and a member of the EQE examination committee for paper C. He further represents Ireland as an expert in the ISO/TC 279 technical committee dealing with the development and drafting of the ISO 56005 - tools and methods for intellectual property management standard.
