Emanuele is a Patent Engineer, part-qualified European patent attorney and an Italian national. Emanuele is currently preparing to sit the finals of the EPO’s European Qualifying Examinations (EQE).

His university education is in the field of electronic engineering, microfluidics and micro and nano technologies for ICT including laboratory experimental activities and practical experience in IBM and the National Research Centre (CNR) of Italy.

Before joining Hanna Moore + Curley in 2014, Emanuele worked as microtechnology integrated system engineer, based in Cardiff University. His main activities were in the fields of microfluidics and he was awarded an MPhil degree in microfluidics on his contribution to the development of a miniaturized planar microfluidic system housed within a polymer chip for continuous water toxicity monitoring using bio-luminescence marine bacteria. In his role, Emanuele gained exposure to the fabrication and the characterization of integrated systems using nano and microtechnologies.

Since joining the Hanna Moore + Curley in 2014, Emanuele has prepared and prosecuted patent applications for clients ranging from local SME businesses to larger multi-national companies. Emanuele’s areas of expertise include microfluidics, advanced materials, MEMS, semiconductor fabrication processes and devices, electronics, wireless technologies, medical devices and optics.

In his spare time, Emanuele’s main personal interests are table tennis and music including playing bass. Emanuele is fluent in English and Italian.
