Anthony is a Patent Attorney and has represented several multi-national companies before the European Patent Office. Anthony is known for obtaining protection for technology that is particularly challenging to patent.

Research for Anthony’s PhD was performed in Tokyo and afterwards he worked as a researcher in atomic physics and nanotechnology. He then worked in medical physics and oncology, designing scientific and clinical devices and creating control and analysis software, at the Institute of Cancer Research and the University of Oxford, for research and industrial partners. Anthony is author on over 25 peer-reviewed articles and a named inventor on EP2436424A1 and US2012083681A1.

Anthony trained and qualified as a European patent attorney in a large London patent firm before moving to Hanna, Moore + Curley in 2019. Anthony works across many fields but focuses on the protection of software such as AI, display technology and medical devices. Anthony also has experience in assessing freedom to operate, European opposition and appeal proceedings, and in other contentious proceedings.
